About Us
Melissa Miranda Psy.D.
Melissa Miranda, PsyD, Licensed Psychologist
Pronouns: she, her, hers
Languages in which I conduct therapy: English
My approach to therapy: My goal in therapy is to help students reclaim their voice and agency, feel equal in the therapy room, and build on their strengths. My treatment interests include obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating/body image concerns, trauma, grief, and women’s health. Because my early training focused on children and adolescents, I also bring a developmental lens to therapy and enjoy exploring how early experiences shape my clients’ worldview. I use techniques that focus on the larger systems my clients are a part of, their unique story, and address multiple aspects of their identities. My style is collaborative, personal, and compassionate - I want my students to feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow. My experience as a Hispanic American and second-generation daughter of immigrant parents gives me a valuable perspective in supporting you with your own unique life circumstances.
My approach to supervision: My approach to supervision emphasizes growth both personally and professionally, recognizing that clinicians are more than just their clinical expertise. I value authenticity in the supervisory relationship and aim to create a space where supervisees feel supported and challenged. As a mentor, I am vocal about my own continued learning and development in the field, modeling that growth is ongoing at every stage of a therapist’s career.

A Fun Fact: I’m currently transitioning from coffee to tea and am obsessed with matcha – from its cultural origins, health benefits, and trying/preparing the perfect iced matcha latte.
