Meet the Experts Featured in this Course

John Licato, Ph.D.
Dr. John Licato is an associate professor in the Computer Science and Engineering department of the Ƶ (USF), founder/director of the Advancing Machine and Human Reasoning (AMHR) Lab, and owner of the startup company Actualization.AI. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in May 2015, working under Professor Selmer Bringsjord and specializing in the computational modeling of analogical reasoning.

Tempestt Neal, Ph.D.
Dr. Tempestt Neal is an Associate Professor in the Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing at the Ƶ and the Director of the Cyber Identity and Behavior Research (CIBeR) Lab. Dr. Neal’s research focuses on human-centered cybersecurity analytics and smart sensing for person identification and multidisciplinary applications of human behavior analysis. She earned a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, a M.S. in Computer Science from Clemson University, and a B.S. in Computer Science from South Carolina State University.

Sudeep Sarkar, Ph.D.
Dr. Sudeep Sarkar is a Distinguished University Professor, and Launch Dean of the Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing at the University of South Florida, Tampa, and Co-Director of the USF Institute for Artificial Intelligence + X. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering on a University Presidential Fellowship from The Ohio State University, Columbus, and his B. Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
